Continuing her education at university was a priority for her and it was while she was a student at ِAn-Najah National University that her business idea emerged.

Nour Jomaa always longed for financial independence and stability. Her passion for education kept her focused on this goal. While studying at An-Najah National University, her business idea emerged. She saw the need for educational assistance among her peers and started an online platform connecting students with qualified teachers.
Becoming a Business Leader
Nour’s dedication to education led her to fulfill her ambitions and establish herself as a successful woman entrepreneur. As a participant in TYO’s Women Entrepreneurship Development (WED) Program, supported by USAID, she enhanced her entrepreneurial skills through training, coaching, and mentorship.
Expanding Her Vision
After completing the Intensive Entrepreneurship Training program, Nour won seed funding to advance her business. She transitioned from an online platform to an educational center in Nablus, West Bank, offering personalized tutoring to meet the growing demand.
Facing Challenges and Growing Stronger
Nour faced financial, personal, and social challenges, but she improved her skills and confidence. As her business grew, she evolved her model to meet the increasing demand for private tutoring, aiming to empower students and unleash their potential.
Navigating Roles and Receiving Support
In the early months, Nour juggled multiple roles but received crucial support from her WED coaches. This guidance helped her master time management and risk mitigation, essential for business development.
Building Networks and Achieving Success
Nour’s positive reputation and connections were vital to her success, even in the face of heavy competition and external challenges like economic decline. Her business now employs 18 teachers and assists hundreds of students.
Empowerment and Vision
Reflecting on her journey, Nour emphasizes persistence, confidence, and learning from mistakes. She celebrates her empowerment and support from WED mentors. Nour aims to elevate educational standards in her community, fostering a love for science and learning as the foundation of a prosperous society.
